Kindergarten Registration

Dear Parents/Guardians of Incoming Kindergarten Students,

 

Welcome to Babylon Elementary School! We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our school community. Below is important information regarding kindergarten registration.

Kindergarten registration is by appointment only and will take place at Babylon Elementary School on the dates listed below.

Kindergarten Registration Dates:

For Children Who Did Not Participate in UPK:

Wednesday, March 18
9:00–11:00 a.m. | 1:00–2:30 p.m. | 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Prior to your appointment, please complete the registration packet available on the district website

and bring the following:

  • Proof of child’s birth date
  • Certificate of immunization and completed health forms
  • Proof of residency
  • Proof of guardianship

Please review the Registration Checklist for additional guidance, then contact the registrar to schedule your appointment.

For Children Who Attended Babylon UFSD UPK:

Thursday, March 19 – 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Friday, March 20 – 9:00–11:00 a.m. | 1:00–2:30 p.m.

First, please contact the registrar at the number above to confirm your intent to enroll for the 2026-27 school year.

For your appointment, please bring the following:

  • Medical Emergency Release Form
  • Certificate of immunization and completed health forms

Copies of original documents will be made at the school.

Kindergarten Screening and Parent Orientation Information

Kindergarten Parent Orientation:

An overview of the kindergarten program will be shared on Thursday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Elementary School Gymnasium.

Kindergarten Screening:

As part of the registration process, parents/guardians will schedule a kindergarten screening appointment. Screenings are conducted one‑to‑one with a staff member and take approximately 30–45 minutes. A 15–20-minute orientation and guided tour for students and parents will precede the screening.
Screenings will be held May 19–22 at Babylon Elementary School. Please allow approximately 1.5 hours for this visit.
