Meet the Board
Each year the Board of Education develops a proposed budget through a series of public workshops, adopts it in April, and presents it to residents for a vote in May. This page follows the budget from first draft to community vote and keeps every year’s documents and presentations in one place. All budget workshops take place at regular Board of Education meetings beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Budget Calendar
- Fall – JanuaryBudget development with central office staff
- February – MarchBudget workshops at Board of Education meetings, 7:30 p.m. The tax levy limit is calculated by March 1.
- AprilThe Board adopts the proposed budget and the Property Tax Report Card. Trustee nominating petitions are due.
- MayPublic hearing on the proposed budget and last day to register to vote
- Tuesday, May 18, 2027Budget vote and trustee election, 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Babylon Junior-Senior High School East Gym
