A MESSAGE FROM THE ASST. SUPT. FOR CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION
Dear Babylon Families,
Welcome to the Office of Curriculum and Instruction for the Babylon Union Free School District. Babylon UFSD is committed to working collaboratively with all members of our learning community to ensure that all students are provided with a safe, nurturing, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Our Babylon team recognizes the critical importance of developing our students as people and learners. As such, our curriculum is designed to cultivate intellectual curiosity, develop critical thinking, and promote the ability of our students to work collaboratively, with respect and compassion for one another. We remain dedicated to creating rigorous and meaningful learning opportunities for your children and seeking innovative ways to engage each student in the learning process. Our programs are designed to cultivate student’s self-confidence, autonomy, and industrious spirit so that each child can reach their highest potential for post-secondary success in an ever-changing interdependent global community. Lastly, the members of the Babylon school community remain steadfast to our commitment to cultivate the whole child and support each child’s social and emotional well-being and growth.
As your Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, I am here to serve as a resource. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns or feedback. I believe that “it takes a village to raise a child” and that your partnership and support is integral to helping us achieve the goals for your children. We welcome the input of all members of our Babylon learning community as we endeavor to partner in pursuit of providing our students with an exceptional educational experience.
I look forward to a rich and rewarding school year and celebrating the successes of our students!
With Babylon Panther Pride,
Carisa A. Manza
